About 2 hours of travelling to Dalyan where we’ll go board on a small boat to zigzag along the Dalyan river though a maze of reeds towards the ancient Greek- roman city of Caunos.  We’ll visit the ruins and the theatre and then settle down for a rest and a meal in a restaurant on the riverside. 

Back onto the boat and off we head up the river that opens out to the Lycian coast and the Mediterranean sea. Time for a swim on the beautiful beach of Caretta Caretta, named after a species of turtles that lays it eggs on the beach at certain times of the year.

We’ll take the boat back down the river and admire on the way some splendid lycian tombs, carved in the cliffs.
